STREAM Expansion Battery 5000

Stream 5000 and 4 panels ordered in later August, for delivery 4th Week of October. Arrived exactly as promised. Couldn’t wait to get it set up and within a few minutes Stream 5000 plugged into a socket. Came with the Ecoflow Smart Meter, as I ordered early after Stream 5000 was released. Watched a couple of YouTube videos and ordered an enclosure and cable glands from Screwfix and wired up the Smart Meter, downloaded the Ecoflow app from Apple App Store and it JUST WORKED!
The battery was delivered partly charged so I watched the app graphics as power was fed into the house circuits to cover the fridge, freezer and other
base load electrics. Today I had solar cable delivered to connect to the panels, so I added a couple of connectors and plugged into one panel leaning against the garden fence and the app showed 300W charging the battery. The battery storage showed an increase in the stored charge of 3% in a few minutes ……from one panel on a late October day. BRILLIANT!
I need now to get the panels properly mounted and positioned, shouldn’t be difficult. On the basis of my experience this could not have been easier, Thank You Ecoflow! I intend to get a second battery to stack on the Stream 5000 to double the storage and arrange for connection into my consumer unit to unlock the systems full potential. I’ll keep you posted with my experiences as the system builds. So far, I couldn’t be happier! David B.
