FAQ
Is elevated temperature during operation normal?
A moderate temperature increase during operation is normal and will not impact product longevity. The system undergoes rigorous testing and incorporates a multi-stage thermal management system. For safety and performance, install the unit in a well-ventilated, non-sun-exposed area, away from children/pets.
How to monitor the electricity generated by the STREAM Microinverter in real time?
How to monitor the electricity generated by the STREAM Microinverter in real time?
Can I use third-party solar panels?
Yes, third-party solar panels are compatible if they meet the PV input specifications and use MC4 connectors. The input range per PV port is:Operating Voltage: 16-60VOperating Current: ≤16A
How should I connect multiple solar panels to my STREAM Microinverter?
When connecting multiple solar panels in series or parallel, ensure that the maximum operating voltage (V) and maximum operating current (I) of each panel group do not exceed the limits of a single PV port on the STREAM Microinverter:Maximum Operating Voltage: 60VMaximum Operating Current: 16AIf you require extension or parallel cables for solar panels, they can be purchased separately from EcoFlow.Additionally, each group of solar panels connected in series or parallel must have consistent Maximum Operating Voltage (V) and Maximum Operating Current (I).Typical compatible solar panel specifications per PV port group: 200W-600W.
Can EcoFlow’s Portable Power Stations be used in a system with the STREAM Microinverter?
The STREAM Microinverter is exclusively compatible with products from the STREAM series. For a more intelligent and higher-yield system experience, we recommend purchasing additional STREAM series products.
Will excess power generated by the STREAM Microinverter (when PV generation exceeds household grid consumption) be fed into the grid?
If your system consists solely of the STREAM Microinverter, excess solar power will be fed into the grid.
Does the STREAM Microinverter require separate grounding?
EcoFlow provides AC cables with an equipment grounding conductor/grounding plug. If the cable is plugged into a socket that is properly installed and grounded according to all local codes and regulations, the device will be correctly grounded. If you are unsure about the socket’s grounding status or if local regulations mandate specific grounding standards, contact a qualified electrician to establish proper grounding via the product’s grounding terminal. For detailed procedures, contact EcoFlow technical support.
Can I install the STREAM Microinverter myself?
If you are in the UK, due to local regulations, the BKW DIY cable used with the Stream Microinverter must be connected to the distribution board. This operation requires a professional installer or electrician.
Can I install the STREAM Microinverter on a solar panel instead of a wall?
Yes. You can purchase the PV Clamp Holder to install the STREAM Microinverter on rigid solar panels with a thickness of 30mm-35mm.
How does the system continue supplying power during a blackout?
For safety reasons, the STREAM Microinverter will automatically detect grid power anomalies and stop power output during a blackout.
Can the AC output cable plug be connected to a power strip?
Due to safety regulations, this is not recommended.
Can multiple STREAM Microinverters be used simultaneously?
It is advised to purchase or use them in compliance with local laws and regulations.
Is the STREAM Microinverter waterproof and dustproof?
The STREAM Microinverter has an IP67 rating and can be used indoors/outdoors. We recommend installing it in a well-ventilated, shaded, and cool location.
Can the STREAM Microinverter connect to 5G WiFi?
Currently, it only supports 2.4GHz WiFi.
Can the maximum output power of the STREAM Microinverter be adjusted?
Yes, it can be configured via the EcoFlow app. Path: Space > Settings > Maximum Output Power.
Why is there no power output after connecting solar panels and AC output cables to the STREAM Microinverter?
Please scan the app QR code in the Quick Start Guide or click to download the EcoFlow app to activate and bind the device. [Download]
