What are the differences between the STREAM Max and the STREAM Ultra/Pro?
1. In off-grid mode, the STREAM Max doesn't support discharging via the AC outlet, but it can be charged using the PV port.
2. When the STREAM Max and STREAM Max/AC are connected in parallel, they must be connected to the AC outlet of the STREAM Max using an AC cable. For more information, see the System Expansion Chapter of the STREAM Max User Manual.
*Note: After completing the installation and connection of the STREAM Max, you must configure the system wiring settings in the app before using the device.
3. When a STREAM Max is connected to a STREAM Ultra/Pro/AC Pro/Ultra X in parallel, only one device can be connected to the end of the connection chain.
What are the differences between the STREAM AC and the STREAM AC Pro?
1.The STREAM AC doesn't support discharging in off-grid mode. It can only work in on-grid mode.
2. The maximum charging/discharging power of the STREAM AC battery is 800W.
3. When the STREAM AC and STREAM Max are connected in parallel, they must be connected to the AC outlet of the STREAM Max using an AC cable. For more information, see the System

battery capacity of the STREAM Ultra.
2. The battery of the STREAM Ultra X has a greater charging power. The maximum charging power is 1500W when using PV, 1200W when using the grid and 1500W when using both.

Is the STREAM Solar Battery compatible with other products (including third-partyproducts)?

How does the STREAM system work?
The system prioritizes solar energy. When solar generation falls short of the power demand, the battery automatically steps in to make up the difference. If there’s still a shortfall, the grid supplies the remaining power.When solar output exceeds consumption, the excess energy is first stored in the battery. Any additional surplus can be exported to the grid, depending on your settings and in compliance with local regulations.
What is required to enable energy balancing between multiple STREAM Series units?
All devices must be connected to the same network and added to the same “Space” within the EcoFlow app.
Does the STREAM Series need to be connected to Wi-Fi and the EcoFlow app?
To access the full functionality of the STREAM Series, a connection to Wi-Fi and the EcoFlow app is required. Bluetooth or LAN-only connections will not support features like remote control or historical data tracking.
Can I install the STREAM Series by myself?
In the UK, local regulations require the EcoFlow STREAM DIY Cable to be wired into the distribution board, which must be done by a certified installer or electrician.
Will the excess power generated by the STREAM system be fed into the grid?
If you disable the feed-in protection switch in the EcoFlow app, the excess solar power will be fed into the grid.
Can I receive compensation for excess power fed into the grid by the STREAM system?
Compensation policies may vary by region. You should contact your local grid operator using the contact information provided on your electricity bill to inquire.
Can third-party solar panels be used with the STREAM Series?
As long as the panels meet the input range for the PV port and use the same type of connector, they can be used. Each PV port’s input range is: operating voltage 15-60V, operating current ≤14A.
How many microinverters can the STREAM Series support? Can third-party microinverters be used?
Due to regulatory limits, it is recommended to connect no more than one microinverter.
If there are multiple devices in the STREAM system, will it prioritize using up one device's power before starting to use another's?
Not necessarily. It might prioritize using one device's power or discharge multiple devices simultaneously. The system employs an intelligent charging and discharging strategy based on the current power levels of the devices, the power consumption of the appliances, the actual connection setup, and your settings in the app. Thus, the discharging performance of specific devices may vary.
What does the AI TOU feature of the STREAM Series refer to?
The AI TOU feature means that the EcoFlow app will use dynamic electricity price data from the local power company to perform smart charge and discharge strategies based on peak and off-peak pricing, maximizing your electricity bill savings. This feature requires a subscription.*An AI TOU strategy will only be generated when the price difference between peak and off-peak is substantial enough because charging and discharging involve losses. If the economic benefits are less than the battery loss, charging and discharging will not take place.
Can I connect the STREAM Series to the output port of a Portable Power Station? Can I connect a Portable Power Station to the STREAM Series' AC outlets to use it as an additional power pack?
No. / No. The Portable Power Station can only be charged by the STREAM Series products, not discharge to them. If you need to expand capacity or power, you can increase the number of STREAM Series products in the STREAM system (up to 6 devices per system).
I'm not interested in a large solar array at the moment so this has been great. Works perfectly with two panels and micro-inverter. I did plan on running solar cables straight to the battery but efficiency and charging has been fine via the existing micro-inverter so probably not going to go to the effort of running more cables.
Compact (but very heavy) battery. Looks really sleek. Mine is hidden away but could easily be on display.
Is completely covering my base load and taking a good chunk off high energy usage. Need more time to work out just how cost effective it is though.
App and setup was fairly easy. Had to reset a couple of time at the beginning but running smoothly now.
Tried the battery without a smart meter for a couple of weeks, wouldn't recommend that. It does function without one but is amazing how much energy is lost - smart meter (bought separately) is essential.
No problems with the battery itself although it should ship with a parallel cable as you're almost certain to buy 'slave' batteries in the future.
The website is a mess and needs to be completely re-written. Pricing needs to be clarified, popups removed and the inconsistent and confusing pricing of bundles corrected.
The phone app is also a mess. It would be far easier to set up the system via desktop computer due to the number of ways in which the system can be used. Phones are not adequate for the job due to small screens and poor ergonomics.
A definition of terms in the manual is VITAL.
I started with the micro inverter but a month in i realized a battery was needed as well as extra panels to make the most of the solar generation.
I went from 2 panels mounted west to 2 more to the east on the summer house roof, the odd time i need to charge the battery due to little sun light but most days there is enough solar to feed the house and charge the battery, my next bill looks like one from the 1990's.
This worked first time out of the box and delivers what it says, which is all you can ask for, really. Set it up in my office log cabin. Obviously takes longer to fill the battery and as my array is only 1280w max (4x Renogy 320w compact -- it was a self-install so I wanted to keep the weight down for easy handling) except on the sunniest days it was struggling to fill it fully thanks to tree shading after 2.30/3pm. But the upside is it lasts twice as long as the Ultra. I've since added an Ecoflow Stream Microinverter in a separate part of the house to cover the base load, which allows the ultra x to charge more quickly.
Bought The ultra X with 4x400watt panels came well packaged and was so easy to set up the battery literally just plug in .the biggest win for me was the app it makes it so usable so it only charges from the grid in my octopus cheap times which was easy to set up loadsa of graphs and info in the app .I have since got the smart meter and this does all the work now .
Really happy with the ordering to delivery and a great bit of kit excellent .
